Sagamore Beach Colony Club Day Camp

The Sagamore Beach Colony Club is pleased to celebrate its 105th year!

Welcome to the 2010 season of the Sagamore Beach Colony Club Day Camp. The SBCC Day Camp represents a long tradition of learning and fun, and has given generations of Colony Club children the joy of learning and growing in a very special place. Experienced staff returns year after year to help provide a unique environment where campers can gain independence, develop skills, make new friends, and build self-esteem.

Campers:

Camp is available to children and grandchildren of SBCC members. The SBCC Day Camp is a co-educational day camp for children ages 5 to 13 with approximately 75 campers. Campers are placed in four groups, according to age.

Program:

Camp facilities include a camp lodge with outdoor equipment, a baseball field and tennis courts. Each week special events and activities are planned.

Camp activities include:
• Games (like basketball, softball, soccer, and kickball)
• Swim instruction by a certified Red Cross instructor
• Tennis instruction by an experienced tennis professional
• Craft and nature projects

Field trips and special events are planned for each group throughout the camp session. Our most popular field trips and special events in the past have included:
• Trips to Water Wiz and Children’s theater productions
• Halloween in July
• Ice Cream and Pizza Days
• Fourth of July Bike Parade and Field Events
• Family Night
• Talent Show
• Camp Show and Awards Night

The SBCC Day Camp complies with the state standards for recreational camps for children established by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (105 CMR 430). The camp is also licensed by the Bourne Department of Health.

Parents may request copies of health care and discipline policies, as well as procedures for filing grievances.

Staff:

SBCC Day Camp has a dedicated and talented staff and many of them were campers as children. They are all CPR and First Aid certified and chosen for their interest in working with children.
