Clark Hall

A History of the Facility

Clark Hall is one of the 1st facilities developed by the Sagamore Beach Colony Club. This photo is taken in 1908 and shows the hall as originally built and named "Assembly Hall". As a centerpiece of the Christian Endeavor, the hall was built for meetings and conferences.

Assembly Hall was later named Clark Hall after Harold Clark, a prominent member of the Sagamore Beach Colony Club and in honor of Rev. Dr. Frances E. Clark—founder of the Christian Endeavor movement, and president of the Sagamore Beach Colony Club in 1915.

We would very much like to build a pictoral history of the hall. Please submit any photographs you may have of the interior and exterior of the hall so we may continue to build our archive.

The Sagamore Beach Colony Club has programs for Juniors & Adults. The Juniors compete in the Upper Cape Junior Tennis League. Club activities include a Father & Son and Mother & Daughter tournaments as well as ongoing instruction and facilities access.

The Sagamore Beach Colony Day Camp is an integral part of the Sagamore Beach Colony Club. Facilities include a camp lodge with outdoor equipement, a baseball field and rennis courts.
