SAGAMORE BEACH COLONY CLUB DAY CAMP
COUNSELOR INFORMATION
We are very excited about the upcoming season at the Sagamore
Beach Colony Club Day Camp.
We are pleased that Erin McCarthy Upton will be starting as Camp Director for the summer 2012 season. Erin is the owner and Director of the Sunshine Country Day School as well as the Program Administrator of Kids R Us Landing School. Erin brings a wealth of experience and ideas to the SBCC camp and we are all looking forward to the upcoming season. Erin has 3 children and also lives in the Sagamore Beach Community. Stay tuned for a letter from Erin highlighting some of the new and exciting activities planned for camp this coming summer.
We are in the process of selecting counselors and CITs. If you interested, please fill out an application and send it to Sarah Garrity , 202 Reedsdale Road, Milton, MA 02186. We will be contacting people as soon as March 15, 2012.

A few notes about being a counselor:
We are looking for people who want and love to be with kids!
We are looking for a mix of men and women.
We are looking for as close to a full time (all camp weeks) commitment as possible. Specifically, we understand that some counselors may be taking family vacations or attending specialized camps (sports camps) and/or need to miss an occasional day (doctor’s appointments etc). However, our expectation is that you will be there everyday except for previously discussed and agreed upon set of time. (Hopefully, not more than one week at most) it is important for the campers to have a high level of continuity with counselors. The dates of the camp are June 25th through August 17th.
We are looking for references only from new counselors. If you were a counselor last year or subbed, there is no need to list references. For references, we are requesting that they be people who have seen/hired you to work, preferably with children. We would prefer no relatives, if possible.
