Tennis Rules 2008
TENNIS SCHEDULE
Men’s Tennis Saturday and Sunday—8:00 a.m.
to 11:30 a.m.
Ladies Tennis Tuesday and Thursday—9:00 a.m. to 11:00
a.m.
Camp Tennis Monday and Wednesday—9:30 a.m. to 12:30
p.m.
Jr. Team Tennis Tuesday and Thursday—1:15 p.m. to
6:00 p.m.
RULES PERTAINING TO ALL TOURNAMENTS
1. Mother & Daughter – Girls eligible through age
16. Mother or blood
relative (grandmother or aunt), who is a tennis member, MUST
play
with oldest daughter. Substitutes allowed for non-playing
mother or
mother with more than one playing daughter. The tournament
Committee will provide the daughter with the mother substitute.
These
substitutes will be paired by a drawing one week before the
tournament. The substitute must be a Mother.
2. Father & Son—The same rules apply as for Mother
& Daughter.
3. Bergstrom Cup—Players must be at least 21 years old.
4. Couples Happy Hour Cup—Doubles tournament with your
partner
being your spouse.
2008 TENNIS RULES
1. If all courts are filled and members are waiting, singles
limited to one
(1) set. Doubles limited to two (2) sets. 12-point tie breaker
must be
played at 6 all.
2. Tournaments and above Tennis Schedule have preference at
all times.
3. Tennis sneakers must be worn. Proper tennis attire suggested.
4. Special tennis events are noted on calendar. Others will
be announced.
5. No playing before 8:00 A.M. or after 8:00 P.M.
6. Practice backboard use between 9:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.
7. Tennis pro is the only authorized person to use the Club’s
tennis courts
for tennis lessons.
